Version 6.11.0.14421

Released: Aug 12, 2026
Licence Date: Aug 12, 2026

eWater is pleased to announce the latest Beta Release of Source version 6.11. Key enhancements in version 6.11 Beta include:

Model Algorithm Changes:
  • Added the ability to manually override the calculated order travel time on a Storage Routing Link. This gives users a way to correct for the rounding of travel time that can occur at confluences, where two branches with different travel times join and the combined travel time is affected.
  • Fixed an issue where a storage configured with "Do Not Order From Upstream Storages" could still have its upstream storage's maximum constraint propagate downstream. This prevented unmet orders from correctly diverting to a backup storage when the primary storage ran dry. Orders now divert to the backup storage as expected.
  • Fixed Minimum and Maximum constraint recorders returning zero at the most downstream node in a system (for example, Environmental Flow Nodes, Minimum Flow Requirement nodes, and gauge nodes), even when constraints were configured on the upstream link. These recorders now correctly reflect the configured constraint values.

    New Features & Improvements:
  • Added a new Stacked Mountain Chart type, allowing multiple time series to be displayed together as a single stacked chart type. Hovering over a component of the Stacked Mountain Chart displays a tooltip indicating the associated time series and X, Y values at that point. The chart tooltip "Hint" icon now has a dropdown offering None, Show all, and Show single point display options. These options are available across all chart types where multiple time series can be displayed on a single custom chart.
  • Removed the unused "Orders" recorder from the parameters list. This recorder has not produced any output in Results Manager since the Recording Manager was retired in earlier versions; the Orders >> Arriving at Current Timestep recorder provides the equivalent information.

    Bug Fixes:
  • Reworked the Arrange Nodes plugin. It now opens in its own window instead of as a docked panel, the "Save" button has been replaced with "Apply" (which updates the schematic layout immediately, with no need to reload the scenario), and a "Close" button has been added. The plugin provides options to automatically re-arrange nodes based on schematic coordinates.
  • Fixed a crash when opening the Statistics tab for a "Time" recorder in Results Manager (e.g. "Time in current spell"). This affected any project using Environmental Flow Node actions with a time-based recorder.
  • Fixed command-line client/server processes failing to run when launched from a working directory different to the Source installation directory.
  • If a storage node configuration error causes a Commandline run to crash, the Commandline error output now includes the name of the affected storage (e.g. Storage 'X': ), making it easier to identify which storage caused the fatal error.

  • Version 6.3.0.14341

    Released: May 28, 2026
    Licence Date: May 28, 2026

eWater is pleased to announce the latest Beta Release of Source version 6.3. Key enhancements in version 6.3 include:

    Model Algorithm Changes:
  • Marker Routing: Updated the New Marker Storage Logic to handle more edge cases. This new logic is considered experimental and still in testing. All identified referential integrity failures have been analyzed and resolved, ensuring Marker relationships correctly reflect upstream/downstream positioning and do not retain references to deleted Markers in large-scale models.
  • Environmental Flow Node - Recorders:
  • Added a new recorder “Observer - Total Successful Seasons In Run" that records the cumulative count of seasons that have met the defined success criteria for an action over the model run. The value increments once per season at the point when seasonal success is first achieved, based on the Spell Observer. Returns a time series. Returns NaN if the Spell Observer is disabled.
  • Added a new recorder “Observer – Percentage Of Successful Seasons”. This recorder calculates the percentage of completed seasons that have been successful for an action. Computed as the ratio of total successful seasons to total completed observation seasons, expressed as a percentage. The denominator increments at the end of each season. Returns a time series. Returns NaN if the Spell Observer is disabled.
  • Added a new recorder “Observer – Forced Event Condition”. This recorder outputs a 0–1 condition value that calculates it based on the time since the last successful season, scaled by the Number of season failures before forcing. Uses an exponential decay function consistent with the Antecedent Condition, but replaces the desired frequency with a tolerance for consecutive failed seasons. Returns a time series. Returns NaN if the Spell Observer is disabled.

    Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed the Trend forecast model in Inflow and Confluence nodes (also Gauge nodes in Operations Mode) not working correctly. A long-standing issue where the Trend forecast model produced incorrect results in these nodes has been resolved. This affected versions from 5.61 onwards.
  • Fixed a bug in the Harvest Storage Accounting dialog that truncated node names. The Supply Points list in the Floodplain Harvesting Event Occurrence section had a fixed column width that cut off longer node names present in many jurisdictional models. The column width is now flexible to accommodate longer names, and scroll behavior for storage nodes has also been corrected.
  • Fixed an issue with constituent model table import failing for Power Function (flow in mm). Users upgrading to Source v6.0 or later were blocked from importing parameter tables due to an unexpected conversion factor error, even when re-importing a file that had just been exported without modification. This was a high-impact issue particularly for users with large parameter tables (1000+ rows), such as constituent model specifications.
  • Fixed inconsistent results where repeated runs of the same scenario could produce different outcomes. This occurred rarely when using Environmental Flow Nodes, leading to divergent behavior. This affected users running Source 5.60 and later.

    Results Manager Changes:
  • Improved error handling to prevent Source crashes triggered from Results Manager toolbar actions. Source was crashing when certain toolbar items were triggered, for example when clicking a filename after that file had been renamed or moved on disk. Error handling has been strengthened so these interactions produce graceful failures rather than application crashes. This was reproducible across multiple Source versions including v6.1 and v6.2.
  • Fixed a crash when loading a plain .csv (non-.res.csv) file in Results Manager. When a plain CSV file was loaded via File > Load Time Series, clicking on the filename in the Loaded Time Series list caused Source to hang and crash. This was related to incorrect handling of unit preference interactions for non-Source result files.
  • Added "Show All Series" / "Hide All Series" context menu options in Results Manager charts. Operators who use Results Manager to communicate with stakeholders can now right-click the chart legend and toggle all plot lines on or off at once via these two new menu items. This removes the need to manually uncheck each series when working with charts that have many outputs. All other chart behavior, including data visibility in the Table and Statistics tabs, is unchanged.
  • Added the ability to delete multiple runs in Results Manager. Users can now select multiple runs using “Ctrl+Click” and delete them in a single action via a new Delete Selected context menu option or the keyboard Delete key. This addresses memory pressure on devices with limited RAM (16 GB) where accumulating many runs causes performance degradation. The Latest Run remains protected from deletion.
  • Fixed an issue where Mountain chart type not applying Shared Settings colors. When the “Use shared setting” checkbox was checked for a Mountain chart, changes to Shared Settings colors were not being applied to the chart.

    Tabular Editor Changes:
  • Added a day-of-week display option in the Tabular Editor. A new context menu on the Time column header lets users choose between the default date format and an abbreviated day-name format (e.g. Fri, 13/03/2026). A color scheme setting is also available to visually distinguish weekdays from weekends, reducing cognitive load for operators whose decisions depend on the day of the week. Settings are persisted in the database.
  • Fixed an error caused by removing data sources or functions from the Tabular Editor. Deleting entries previously resulted in database referential integrity issues that prevented subsequent model runs. The root cause has been resolved across all affected project types.

    Test Coverage Improvements/Changes:
  • Veneer integration test suite created based on MDBA requirements. A new set of Veneer-based integration tests covering core Source functionality has been implemented, targeting the high and medium priority areas identified during consultation with MDBA. The regression test suite is now live on TeamCity and responds to new code changes in the master branch.

  • Version 6.2.0.14258

    Released: Apr 20, 2026
    Licence Date: Mar 17, 2026

This version 6.2.0.14258 is a patch to previous Beta version that includes a fix to an issue where input sets loaded via the command line would unexpectedly persist after project load.
Issue: When running Source from the command line, input set cleanup steps were not completed after the project finished loading. Any input set loaded into the project would unexpectedly persist, potentially affecting subsequent model runs within the same session.
Fix: Input set cleanup now completes correctly following project load in command-line execution mode.
Who is affected: Users running Source 5.60 & later versions via the command line with input sets. GUI users are not affected.

eWater is pleased to announce the latest Beta Release of Source version 6.2. Key enhancements in version 6.2 include:

  • A fix to an issue where input sets loaded via the command line would unexpectedly persist after project load.
  • Fixed a bug where the Supply Point receives demand during the Order Phase, where Water User functions are evaluated using flow values from the previous time step. Since these functions are not re-evaluated during the Flow Phase even when they depend on Flow Phase variables, the resulting water extraction is based on outdated values and can be incorrect. This was resolved by re-evaluating Water User functions during the Flow Phase at the first connected Supply Point, ensuring that demand is updated using current time step conditions when it is requested.
  • Applied a change from MDBA relating to the ownership of storage routing links when a division in the link transitions from live to dead storage. Updated regression tests results that were affected by this change.
  • Added the ability to centrally enable or disable individual constituents in models. When a constituent is disabled, it is ignored during simulation. This feature is also accessible via Scenario Input Sets.
  • Optimized Function Manager tree performance with lazy loading and resolved memory issues due to referencing functions to support projects with large amount of functions.
  • Aggregation of partial periods occurring at the start and end of a timeseries due to run boundary dates can now occur. This occurs in-line with reporting of periods with missing data in the middle of a timeseries.
  • Fixed a bug relating to priority ordering at confluences when upstream branches have different travel times.
  • Resolved a slow project load time in the .NET 8 version of Source when opening the Barwon-Darling model. Improvements were made to project loading that bring load times in line with the pre-.NET 8 version for that project.
  • Added a new Dead Storage Volume recorder for Storage Routing Links, which can be used by Context Variables. Enabled the Storage Volume on Storage Routing Links to be used by Context Variables.
  • Ensured that the "Area Volume Table" option persisted correctly for On-Farm Storages under the Storages > {Storage Name} > Area > {Date} UI.
  • Fixed a bug where rainfall runoff model parameters did not display "inf" (infinity) when they are large.
  • Fixed a bug where previously user trying to filter "Subcatchment" columns by Geo Regions could cause an error.
  • Hidden the "AllowCarryover" checkbox when the user selects anything other than "Water Year" in the Supply Point > Demand Constraints > Usage Limit UI, and persisted the Textbox entry.
  • Removed the Demand Model > Crops > {crop name} > Crop recorder from the recorder tree for the Irrigator model.
  • Fixed a bug where the recorders would not update if the recorders had been opened following a run error in the previous run.
  • Fixed an issue where the Scenario Mass Balance Recorder was not refreshing correctly after each run.
  • Fixed a bug where Scenario Mass Balance changes overwrote previous run results as well as Latest Run in Results Manager
  • Fixed a bug that crashes Source while using the Project option “Force Comments On Save”.
  • Added a configurable base folder path in Results Manager -> Options menu item, enabling Result Manager Configurations to store relative file paths alongside absolute paths for improved portability and easier sharing across different environments.
  • Fixed a bug where the run progress bar would appear stuck after a scenario run is completed for Replicate Analysis runs.
  • Marker Routing : Added a new ‘Experimental Feature’ (available under Application Settings) to alter the way Marker Routing information is managed. This work is still in development, and the feature is only intended for specific clients to test with.
  • Source Performance Improvements : Micro-optimizations were made to the following 4 areas of Source to improve Source run-times: Water User, Constraints, Ordering and Ownership, Recording, and Functions. A ~4% reduction in mean runtime was achieved across the three analyzed models (GBCCL, Namoi, and River Murray 50) through improvements made to several functions identified as hotspots during profiling. These gains were achieved without any major restructuring of the codebase.
  • Conversion to GUID recorders : Converted the Pipe Junction node's Connections From and Connections To list recorders to the GUID-based system.
  • River Operations Performance Improvements : Improved run time performance for River Operations by optimizing iteration logic and reducing initialization time. This seems to have a 20% reduction in run time for 'RiverMurrayOps' project.
  • Fixed a bug in Results Manager where repeatedly clicking on a chart would incorrectly increase the left Y-axis range after manually setting it.
  • Fixed project summary export errors related to forecast model properties (Trend, Monthly Average, Expression, and Timeseries) that depend on Reflected Items, which occurred when exporting before a scenario was fully initialized.
  • Fixed an exception that occurred when right-clicking on the Time Column in the Tabular Editor.

  • Version 6.1.0.14090

    Released: Dec 18, 2025
    Licence Date: Dec 9, 2025

eWater is pleased to announce the latest Beta Release of Source version 6.1. Key enhancements in version 6.1 include:

  • Resolved an issue where off-allocation water take did not function correctly for water users with two supply points due to the 'SetRemainingSourceOrder' method, which is now fixed; regression tests confirmed the expected changes.
  • Improved travel time calculation for Off Allocation by selecting the shortest path to a node when multiple link paths exist, delaying rounding of decimal values for travel time until the end, and incorporating travel time through the weir node, along with other enhancements.
  • Changes made in coordination with MDBA to correct Marker age calculations.
  • Added few Marker Routing referential integrity checks that can be optionally turned on with an assurance rule.
  • Corrected a bug in Marker Routing where certain inflow conditions at a hydraulic connector would cause an error, halting the run.
  • Set the Initial Mass of the constituents in a storage at the very first timestep, even if constituent processing activates later in the run.
  • Streamlined carryover scalar reporting by removing duplicate recorders, eliminating confusion in the Annual Accounting System caused by carryover scalar values being reported at both the Account Host and Account Type levels. So, removed the recorder at the Account Host level and updated the Account Type recorder to return null values (-9999) until the first reassessment, after which it reports the same value as the first account in that type.
  • Corrected end-of-year carryover logic to ensure unallocated carryover water rolls into the next water year when the carryover scalar does not reach 100%.
  • Resolved a bug where the MassBalance check always used the default value of 1000 instead of the user-specified value entered in Scenario Options. This fix applies to mass balance checks for catchments, links, networks, and nodes.
  • Addressed issues caused by a mismatch between the data source/time-series variable timesteps in the custom function GetDataTimeSteps() and the model's run configuration timestep; the fix now allows using different timesteps in the custom function's data while running the model at a different timestep, with a warning provided.
  • Fixed an issue in Source which incorrectly handled disaggregation of annual or monthly time series data to daily or sub-daily data due to leap years (annual only) and variable month lengths (monthly only).
  • Removed the duplicate Mass Balance recorder, observed in four rainfall runoff models (Observed catchment runoff depth, Function Based, Nil Runoff, Observed catchment surface runoff depth) within RiverSystem caused by property override naming conflicts.
  • Fixed an issue in which dates were not aligning properly when a non-fixed span (e.g. monthly) time series was listed with a fixed span (daily) time series in a custom chart.
  • Improvements to the crop factor charts under Crop parameters for Irrigator, IQQM, and Pride, ensuring they are displayed correctly. Differences in default start dates between IQQM and Pride are now clarified, with users responsible for selecting the actual start date. Additionally, the X-axis labels for Irrigator (showing days since the start of the crop season) and IQQM/Pride (showing calendar months) are now correctly aligned with the underlying algorithms and specifications.
  • Recording Manager has been fully decommissioned and removed from Source in version 6.1. Recorders that previously worked only in Recording Manager have been removed or updated so that all supported recorder outputs now function exclusively through Results Manager.
  • The Multiple Supply Path Solver recorder has been removed from the Project Hierarchy, as its data was only supported by the now-deprecated Recording Manager and was never available in Results Manager. NetLP Debug information is still available through the NetLP Scenario Options screen.
  • The Forecast Volume recorder, previously available only through Recording Manager and not producing results in Results Manager, has now been fixed. It is fully supported in Results Manager and available for Inflow and Gauge nodes.
  • 3 old recorders WaterUserReturnFlowElementRecorder, WaterUserStorageElementRecorder, RainfallRunoffRecorder are now upgraded to the new GUID-based system. This improves internal tracking of functionality (e.g. Modelled Variables) based on these recorders.
  • Introduced new functionality to launch the Source User Interface with a specific scenario from the command line or batch file, enabling users to quickly start a selected scenario in the Source project file.
  • Multiple fixes/changes to tabular editor :
  • A new search bar has been added to the top of the column editor panel, allowing users to filter columns by recorder name. The list dynamically shows only the columns that match the entered search text.
  • The Tabular Editor now supports text-based header comments, with the first row reserved for comments that can be shown or hidden. These comments persist in the same way as column formatting, and data begins from the second row.
  • The comment box in the Tabular Editor has been enlarged and now supports vertical scrolling for easier editing of longer comments.
  • Fixed a bug where comments added to a cell were removed when that cell was overridden.
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect travel times displayed by the cutout lines in the Tabular Editor, caused by outlet travel times being zero, which led to inflated travel times in the editor.
  • Fixed an issue in Results Manager charts where the manually entered minimum Y-axis value was ignored when the axis range was set to Manual. This fix does not affect the Auto mode.

  • Version 5.61.0.14057

    Released: Dec 10, 2025
    Licence Date: Jul 24, 2025

eWater is pleased to announce the latest Beta Release of Source version 5.61. Key enhancements in version 5.61 include:

  • A summary of the Maximum Effective Allocation setting is now displayed on the Configuration tab under Resource Assessment > Annual Accounting > Account Type. The actual configuration remains on the Carryover tab to support complex setups involving multiple carryover rules.
  • Crops with monthly patterns can now be added to PRIDE Demand models via the drop-down list of crops within the Water User feature editor.
  • Fixed incorrect unit conversion when using average values over a period (e.g. mm/day) for rainfall and evaporation inputs in PRIDE demand models, which was causing incorrect order volumes.
  • Introduced Harvest Storage Accounting to the Water User node, enabling accurate tracking and accounting of water during floodplain harvesting events.
  • Extended the Time Series Demand Model with Advanced Options to support Regulated and Opportunistic Requirement forecasts and flow phase values. This enhancement reduces dependency on complex Irrigator Models and improves flexibility when testing Water User configurations, especially for floodplain harvesting scenarios.
  • Fixed issues in the function-based account deduction option in the Environmental Flow Node, where in some situations, when the available water in the accounts was low, the account deduction did not happen properly.
  • Added a new "Compress Project File" tool under the Advanced menu. This feature allows users to significantly reduce project file size by removing unnecessary database tables and data and performing Firebird backup/restore.
  • Spatial Data Exporter was enhanced to address two key issues:
    1. Catchment Shapefile Export Failures Due to Long File Paths: The exporter now handles Windows path length limits by dynamically truncating filenames when necessary. If the full export path exceeds the 260-character OS limit, the tool either shortens the file name or displays a clear error message to inform the user. This resolves previous failures where exports silently failed or used generic messages.
    2. Mismatch Between Spatial and Network Catchments: Improved error handling now identifies specific catchment polygons (e.g., ID and name) that don’t match entries in the network model. Instead of generic errors, users receive detailed, actionable feedback, allowing them to fix geometry mismatches independently (e.g., removing unlinked polygons like “SC #123”).
  • Clearing overrides from the Tabular Editor now also removes associated comments, aligning behavior with the Operations Summary table.
  • Breakpoint names in the debugger have been updated for clarity and consistency, with shortened labels that maintain their original meanings.
  • Introduced the ability to monitor Trade Manager functionality within debugger breakpoints for improved traceability during simulation.
  • Resolved exception errors triggered when using the scrollbar in the debugger window after adding breakpoints.
  • Resolved an issue preventing deletion of the first scenario after copying a scenario. Users can now create new scenarios by duplicating and removing the original without save errors.
  • Resolved an issue where exporting files with non-unique extensions (e.g., .dat, .txt) could result in the wrong format being used. File exports now correctly match the selected format from the UI and the specified default format for the non-unique file extension using command line.
  • Fixed an issue where an error was shown when saving data from Data Sources with adjusted file names. Users can now save files successfully after removing invalid characters such as colons.
  • Enhancements to AARS plugin & UI.
  • Updates to the Storage Filling Curve plugin.
  • Bivariate statistic KGE and composite bivariate statistics involving KGE (Trotter, Split Trotter and Split Trotter Weighted) are modified to avoid them becoming undefined in some edge cases (e.g., Pearson’s Coefficient becoming undefined, standard deviation of observed values becoming zero and mean of observed and modelled values becoming zero).
  • Other minor enhancements & bug fixes.

  • Version 5.61.0.13854

    Released: Jul 24, 2025

  • Version 5.52.0.13599

    Released: Apr 11, 2025
    Licence Date: Apr 11, 2025

eWater is pleased to announce the latest Beta Release of Source version 5.52. Key enhancements in version 5.52 include:

  • Reversion of recent changes made to the Irrigator model in Source version 5.51 beta.
  • An enhancement to the handling of Rule-Based Orders in scenario transfers is made to ensure that the total water volume delivered reflects the full sum of all downstream priorities , while the recorder will display only the priorities defined in the configuration.
  • Enhancements to non-extractive supply points, where the minimum constraint is set to the higher of the upstream minimum or supply point demand.
  • Updates to the built-in function "ProbabilityOfExceedanceFlow" to use the PERCENTILE.INC algorithm, aligning it with the "ProbabilityOfExceedancePercentage" function for consistency in percentile calculations across Source.
  • Changes to allow the Storage Filling Curve plugin to accept historical inflow data in both volume (ML) and rate (ML/day) units, with automatic unit conversion and compatibility checks to prevent errors during the model run.
  • Changes to the Storage Filling Curve plugin to address issues where unexpected or missing plugin values were calculated for dates outside the 1st of the month or the filling season.
  • A review of the original method applied for Spillable Water, “Total Water - Use”.
  • A patch recommended by MDBA to resolve concentration discrepancies in the Marker Constituent Routing system has been reviewed, approved, and implemented, with further work potentially needed.
  • Fix to a bug where owners without any storage capacity who had target refill factor less than 1 were incorrectly generating orders. The model now skips refill calculations for such owners, preventing unintended order volumes.
  • Updated the Flow Calibration Wizard UI for better clarity.
  • Added a new assurance rule to ensure that variables with the Time of Evaluation (T.o.E.) set to Environmental Flow Prioritization have their Date Range set to Current Iteration.
  • Restoration of a validation logic for the loss node configuration to ensure a monotonically increasing relationship.
  • Updates to the .res.csv file format to reflect the renamed run in Results Manager, ensuring the updated run name is included in the exported results. The new format also adds the 'Today' date, applicable only in Operations mode.
  • Updates to the Flow Calibration Wizard UI for better clarity.
  • A new feature allowing users to define a custom run name for model executions. This is applicable in Operations mode from the UI and several run configurations from the command line.
  • A fix for the issue where run names in charts did not update after importing renamed timeseries.
  • An enhancement to the Update FunctionImporterExporterTool community plugin, enabling it to export and import bilinear variables.
  • Overrides can now be exported automatically on project save from the UI.
  • when a run is renamed in Results Manager, the updated name appears immediately in the UI and is included in the exported .res.csv files. The 'RunDisplayName' field is now added to exported .res.csv files, though it remains empty in auto-saved output files.
  • Log Reporter is now automatically saved after Operations Mode runs (e.g., Warm Up configurations) when enabled in Scenario Options.
  • Updated the feature table to reflect the latest changes made to the Environmental Flow Node (EFN), including the settings of new spell observer logic.
  • Added an option to select ‘None' for the 'Rise and Fall’ method in the UI, aligning with the “None” value set via scenario input sets.
  • Enhanced handling of weir outlet overrides

    Released: Jan 31, 2025
    Licence Date: Jan 31, 2025

eWater is pleased to announce the latest Beta Release of Source version 5.51. Key enhancements in version 5.51 include:

  • Addition of a new recorder “Farm Dam Surface Area” to “Onstream Farm Dam” node.
  • A bug in the Irrigator Demand Model relating to fluctuating requirements or orders where there were different Max and Min Travel Times has been addressed.
  • Replacement of the old Environmental Flow Node logic with the new Spell Observer logic. Users are requested to configure the spell observer for the EF Actions as the old EFN logic will soon be retired.
  • At the Environmental Flow Node, users can now specify the amount of water that needs to be debited to EFN using a function either at the node level or the action level if those actions within the node have same portfolio configuration.
  • Added consistency across charts, tables, data and statistics in Results Manager. The table data and statistics will now only be displayed for the zoomed part of the chart.
  • NetCDF export files will now have a unique ID, as we have modified the “Station IDs” to ensure each node/link in the network is uniquely mapped.
  • Added the ability to load and merge custom charts using a newly added icon in the Results Manager window. Also, users can now manually select and merge one custom chart with another by selecting one of the saved custom charts.
  • Added a new Option in the Chart Drop-Down Menu in Results Manager: “Sum All” will sum all time series plots with commensurate units.
  • Added the ability to compare multiple time-series in the bivariate statistics comparison by selecting “Total Table” from the top left drop-down.
  • Other enhancements and bug Fixes.

    Version 4.8.2.8930

    Released: May 23, 2019
    Licence Date: Dec 24, 2018

We have been working on a number of issues, including:
  • changes to stop Modelled Variables breaking when the Function they point at is moved
  • improving the handling of distribution system loss with travel time
  • improvements to Weirs, including mass balance for constituents with lumped routing
  • fixing the non-debit user interface
  • resolving several charting issues.

We have also made progress with the issue of different results for some models on different hardware. We found that the .net System libraries of Math.Pow() and Math.Exp() produce different results on different machines. We are implementing custom versions that produce consistent results on different hardware. This will be available in 4.8.3beta. This fix solves the problem for one of the models, however, one model still has inconsistent results on different hardware. We are continuing this line of investigation to attempt to resolve the problem for this remaining model.

    New Community Plugin
There is a new community plugin, SourcePlugin.AllocationAndUtilities which was developed by Tim Smith from New South Wales. It is a collection of small, common utilities to help in river modelling.

    Plugin Developers
We are planning on moving to C# 7, Visual Studio 2017 and .net 4.7.2 early next year, so you will need to make sure you have updated Visual Studio to continue developing plugins in the beta versions.

    Released: Apr 16, 2013
    Licence Date: Apr 16, 2013

    New functionality

    Bulk Access Licensing

Bulk Access Licensing has been implemented. For initial spec see:
    Bulk Access Metering Specification
  • New node type "Bulk Licensing"
  • Implements the ability to debit orders or flows, going past one or more points in a system, from a portfolio of accounts.
  • Currently only from gauage nodes (with side links). We are looking at implementing for supply points as well: RM-11346 BL: Allow Bulk licencing from a supply point

  • Version 3.3.0.224

    Released: Apr 4, 2013
    Licence Date: Mar 15, 2013

    Update since 3.3.0:

RM-11301 - Getting a database error when trying to upload a model into v3.3.0.178 RM-11350 - ElementNodeRecorder clone methods need fixing RM-11344 - Change Account Host / Accocount back to Node model RM-11338 - Pride: Return flow is missing

    New functionality

  • Environmental Demand model now its own node and takes into consideration previous events and downstream orders.
  • User Guide and Scientific Reference Guide links from Feature editors point directly to online User Guide and Scientific Reference Guides.
  • BREAKING CHANGE: We now enforce units of time series in Data Sources to be commensurate with where they are used. This may require you to explicitly set units on time series where none have been set. This will only be a breaking change if you have used the one time series in two different locations as a dummy file, e.g. a time series with all zeros used for constituent load and for inflow.

    Important Bug fixes:

  • Issues of Persistence Failure Related to Code Changes and Metaparameters
  • Splitter icon identifies incorrect effluent on opening project
  • Can now extract water in unregulated systems to fill on farm storage

    Existing Issues

  • New Environmental Demand model won't work with NetLp
  • Copy & paste functionality does not copy expressions
  • Can now add constituents to a catchments model. You need to save and re-load project - it will not be able to run straight away.

    Plugins

If you are downloading any of the separate plugins – DERMTools etc – then you will need to manually ‘unblock’ this file in Windows after downloading. To do this, right click on the dll file in windows explorer and select properties. At the bottom of this window will be comment along the lines of ‘this file has been downloaded from the internet and has been blocked to protect this computer’. There should be an ‘unblock’ button next to the warning. Click unblock and then click ok. The plugin should then load

    Insight

To run Insight you also need to install the 32bit version of Microsoft Visual C+\+ 2010 Redistributable Package.
This is for both 32bit machines and 64bit machines since the library we use is 32bit:
